The Mail Online has a huge online audience with 19.7m uniques in December. The Mail Online is using a special technology from a company called Skimlinks. Skimlinks turns all your links into affiliate links and works with all the top Networks. The Mail Online is not the first company to use this technology others already using it are Plebble, Shiny Shiny and Oh So You.
In a media world where advertising revenue is declining and being poured into the affiliate model this technology looks like it could be a hit with many large content sites.
Let's not forget another option for becoming an affiliate and that is to launch a cashback site like Trinity Mirror did with MirrorCashback.co.uk.
