Social Media - Connect with BDR London

As an SEO agency we are pleased to reveal global searches were up by around 50% on the previous year. The continued growth in the use of search engines will continue to highlight the importance of search engine optimisation. For many internet advertising agencies search marketing is becoming the primary method of online marketing.

Google has launched a smartphone called the Nexus One.  The phone is being brought out to rival Apple's iPhone. It looks very much like the iPhone and it has lots of great features like a 5 megapixel camera and an mpeg4 video camera. You can also dowload lots of really cool apps and widgets.

As an internet advertising agency it is important to be at the forefront of what's going on in the world of online advertising. Here are my predictions as to what will be big in 2010.

Social Media Marketing

This comes to no surprise everyone is using social media in one form. This may be via a blog, fan page, pod cast or online group. Any platform where people can interact with you and leave comments is a form of social media.

What does it mean for an SEO agency now Twitter results appear in the Google organic search results? What happens is Google will now show up to the minute information in the SERPS to people searching for topical phrases. For a search on something up to the minute like xfactor, with the final winner announced on Sunday, there is still plenty of 'Twitter' around the subject. Here is an example of what the real time results look like:

As we all know the recession has affected advertising spend and many internet advertising agency firms have been hit hard. But how has the credit crunch affected the way people use the internet?

According to a recent study I read web usage by adults increased from 20m in February 2009 to almost 23m in May 2009. Perhaps, this was a result of staying at home more. Given the current economic climate it could also be down to people going online to research more. In this case it could mean looking for money saving ideas and jobs etc.

This story was first reported a few months ago. However, there have been some major developments today. As an internet advertising agency this is major news because it will have impact on the way we work and buy advertising.

It seems the search companies are combining efforts in an attempt to become more competitive in the market. Bing, Microsoft's newly re-vamped search engine will now power Yahoo! In return for this, Yahoo! will now sell advertising on both of the search engines.

The New Year is a great opportunity to look at your business and make some decisions about how you are going to do things differently in 2010. Why not talk to an internet advertising agency about adopting a new web strategy?

If you are an Internet advertising agency things are looking up with increased spend in online during Q3. The Bellwether report reveals online marketing budgets increased from July to September.

It's been a tough year for many businesses with recession causing advertisers to look hard at the profitability of all marketing activity. Online, not surprisingly, is the only sector that will see a rise in spend. I am certain the reason behind this is the ability to effectively measure every aspect of your campaign which allows you to easily work out the ROI.

Tech News:

Is the future of television 3D? With the re-introduction of 3D to the cinema experience TV manufacturers are talking about it.

3D enabled TV will allow you to watch the DVD or Blu-ray in 3D mode. 3D viewing will not be restricted to DVD and Blu-ray as there are plans to also create 3D TV shows.

How popular this technology will be is yet to be confirmed as currently you have to wear glasses to watch in 3D. TV manufacturers are not rushing into 3D enabled TV just yet as the industry has yet to agree on a standard format.
